The 2016 ASICS Encounter Bay Triathlons & Fun Run had over 400 competitors so don’t leave your entry too late. Final registration will be held on Saturday afternoon at this Anchorage seafront hotel on the corner of coral Street and Flinders parade between 1 and 7 PM where you may Lodge your late entries with the appropriate late fee. Late entries will be accepted on race morning with the appropriate late fee as well your final registration will be done on race morning if you can’t make Saturday registration.

The Thomas Foods Short Course Triathlon is a popular event for competitors who are new to triathlons, and keen to experience the fun of a great sporting event. The short course includes two moderate hill climbs and is designed for those who have an average to good fitness level.

The Thomas Foods International Fun Run has been designed with the breathtaking scenery of the Fleurieu Peninsula in mind. The Fun Run takes in one full loop of Encounter Lakes, including an ocean front stretch that overlooks Encounter Bay. Soak up the atmosphere, and be part of the action, crossing the line through the triathlon finishing arch.
The 5km fun run interacts with the ASICS Sprint Distance Triathlon run leg.

This event is an age group state championship which takes in the stunning Victor Harbor coastline. Like all Encounter Bay Triathlon categories, the ASICS Sprint Distance swim is in the sheltered inland sea water of Encounter Lakes, and all cycle courses are closed to traffic for safety. Competitors are sent off in wave starts from 9.30am.

Due to popular demand, this is a new and fun addition for 2016. The Encounter Bay Adults Mini Triathlon is the shortest triathlon for adults we know of in Australia, and makes the sport accessible to almost everyone. Even if your only training is walking the dog, we look forward to your participation.

The Butler & Butler Kids “mini” Triathlon is all about fun and participation. The 50m swim or wade is in one metre deep water, and all distances are designed for kids aged five years and older. It’s pure fun with no recorded times or awards presented.
